Expressing Intentions

Intentions adalah rencana atau keinginan atau sesuatu yang akan kita lakukan berikutnya atau dimasa yang akan datang.

Untuk mengungkapkan Intentions, kita dapat menggunakan cara berikut:

1. I will + V¹

Contoh:

a. I will visit a museum today
(Saya ingin mengunjungi musium hari ini)

b. I will come back to home five minutes later
(Saya ingin pulang kerumah 5 menit kemudian)

c. I will play soccer
(Saya ingin bermain sepak bola)

2. I want to + V¹

Contoh:

a. I want to make some pancake
(Saya ingin membuat beberapa pancake)

b. I want to drive carefully
(Saya ingin berkendara dengan hati-hati)

c. I want to speak to you now
(Saya ingin bicara kepada mu sekarang)

3. I would like to + V¹

Contoh:

a. I would like to drive slowly
(Saya ingin berkendara dengan pelan)

b. I would like make you understand
(Saya ingin membuat kamu mengerti)

c. I would like to tell about my family
(Saya ingin menceritakan tentang keluarga saya)

4. I am going to + V¹

a. I am going to introduce my friend
(Saya ingin mengenalkan teman saya)

b. I am going to practice about Expressing Intentions 
(Saya ingin mempraktikkan tentang Expressing Intentions)

c. We are going to show you our presentation
(Kami ingin menunjukkan kepadamu presentasi kami)


5. I would rather + V¹

a. I would rather stay at home than go fishing
(Saya lebih memilih dirumah saya dibandingkan pergi memancing)

b. I would rather do my homework than play game
(Saya lebih memilih mengerjakan PR saya dibandingkan bermain game)

c. I would rather make a cake than go to the park
(Saya lebih memilih membuat kue dibandingkan pergi ke taman)

      Kalimat nomor 2 dan 5 juga benar jika diminta kalimatnya Nominal.
      Tapi kali ini diminta dalam bentuk Verbal dulu, atau yg menggunakan kata kerja.

      di cara nomor 5 itu sebenarnya kita membandingkan kata kerja. jadi jika dibuat rumusnya sebenenarnya seperti ini: I would rather + v1 + than + v1
